Urine cleans your urinary tract, and is in general very sterile until it makes its way outside the body. Fevers "burn up" derelict trespassers. Swelling helps wash areas of injury or infection facilitating the arrival immune cells that devour and destroy intruders. You also have an internal defense industry constantly producing weapons: bone marrow, spleen, thymus, tonsils, adenoids, appendix and lymph nodes.

Absolutely. If you don’t have any sugar, how well will your cake turn out? Your body will make what it needs, but it must use the raw materials you give it.
